The municipal elections of Mijas 2023 are approaching, and a new non-profit legal entity is making its way among the citizens of Mijas. It's called #SoydeMijas
IT IS NOT A POLITICAL PARTY, I AM FROM MIJAS IT IS A CITIZEN NGO FORMED BY COMMITTED AND EXPERIENCED CITIZENS
Political parties have become old and bureaucratically anchored to their national nuclei. The Citizens of Mijas already want a change in majority. Just think that of 86,000 inhabitants only 46,000 are registered and of these 22,000 DO NOT VOTE
We want to be the voice of these 22,000 Mijeños and Mijeñas who do not vote and the alternative to voting for the rest of Mijeños and Mijeñas who have to choose one party or another without having any alternative or option.
Politics is a prize for the work of a lifetime, it is a place for professionals and people who have worked all their lives and have achieved great experience. A politician cannot be a Nobody, a person without experience and sometimes someone who has never worked in his life. That happens mostly in Mijas as in other municipalities in Spain.
MIJAS SHOULD BE SYNONYMOUS WITH EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES
Politicians today do not represent the true needs of their people but represent the needs of their political party.
At #SoydeMijas we want to be the answer to all the current and urgent needs of our society. Our mission is to promote and defend the "Untouchable Values" that belong to every citizen by birthright, such as: equal opportunities, meritocracy, dignity, justice: social, labor, judicial and commercial, the defence of the rights of citizenship, including excellent health care, an educational system without restrictions, fair supervision and a fair distribution of common wealth (we are talking about the annual budget of the Mijas City Council) that allow citizens of all social classes to feel protected and pampered by the State and its Government.
